French Star M’Vila Admits He’ll Join Arsenal

We can now say that Rennes’ midfielder Yann M’Vila is a Gunner after the defensive midfielder publically spoke about his interest to join Arsene Wenger’s squad.

We know that players usually don’t do such things until the deal is almost complete, but M’Vila spoke about Arsenal’s negotiations with his club Rennes, and declared that if the two clubs will agree upon a transfer fee, the deal will go through because he’s eager to play in the Premiership, and even more eager to play at Arsenal.

“I have heard Arsenal are interested in me. I like Arsenal and I like the Premier League.

“I don’t know what is happening with the clubs, but yes, I would be interested in the Premier League and Arsenal.”

M’Vila would become the second signing in a summer which started promising with Podolski’s move, and continues to be just as good. It seems that now only Robin Van Persie’s departure can spoil things at Arsenal, and that Arsene Wenger meant what he said about challenging the Premier League title next season.

The Arsenal fans have been hoping for M’Vila to join for quite a while, and the statement comes as a relief for most after rumours have emerged speaking about a possible interest in him from Barcelona and Bayern Munich, which would have complicated things even further.

Wenger Interested In Signing Napoli’s Star Striker

Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger seems to be following the trend and after Italian squad Napoli’s forward Ezequiel Lavezzi had an amazing match against Chelsea, the Frenchman now wants to bring him to the Emirates Stadium.

Wenger’s mind is set on refreshing the squad a bit in the summer and now after Arshavin left Chamakh and Park are likely to do the same in the summer, which also means that at least one or two have to come to the club and replace them. Chamberlain is an ascending star and his future at Arsenal is a certain one, but Wenger seems to be also looking for a couple of attacking men he could bring at the club.

One of the most likely players to join is German striker Lukas Podolski, but Italian newspapers say that the Frenchman is still thinking about the transfer of French League 1 striker Olivier Giroud from Montpellier, and he’s also very interested in the services of Lavezzi.

Even though the Gunners might send a bid Lavezzi’s way is unlikely for Napoli to accept it because the Italian club previously stated that they are looking to grow as a club not sell their best assets. The club’s striker Edison Cavani is also on the wish list of many European clubs, but the Italians are unwilling to let him go. Do you think that Lavezzi can end up on the Emirates Stadium?

Arsenal’s top transfer target Eden Hazard admitted the fact that he is interested in the possibility of moving to the Premiership and that Arsenal have taken an official interest in him.

Lille’s winger Eden Hazard declared that he also has an interest in the side from the Emirates Stadium because there are a lot of people speaking French there including the manager, and because he’ll be able to pair up with his national team buddy Vermaelen.

“There are several clubs that interest me in England and Arsenal is really a part,”

“Of course, it’s always more fun when the football is beautiful. In addition, at Arsenal, there is a French coach and French players, as well as my compatriot Thomas Vermaelen.” Hazard said on ESPN.

This transfer from Lille to Arsenal seems written in the stars, and Arsene Wenger’s relationship with the French League 1 winners is well known after also managing to land Ivorian winger Gervinho. Hazard has been a target for the French manager since two years ago and the transfer rumours are finally proving to become real now that Hazard has also admitted interest in the possibility of a transfer.

Would It Be Better For Hazard To Join Arsenal Or Tottenham?

We all know by now that Arsenal’s right-back Backary Sagna  seems to think that Eden Hazard’s move to the White Hart Lane would be a mistake, and we all agree that it would be a dreadful thing for the Gunners to lose one of their most wanted targets to the club’s biggest rival. But is it really that much better for him to join Arsenal?

“I think (a Spurs move) would be an error for him.

“I watch the French League and Hazard is an excellent player. It would be a major signing for Arsenal, but it’s up to different people to decide his destination.

“He needs to reflect and make the choice of club for the style of football.

“If he goes to Spurs, he will be an enemy for me.

“Hazard has the perfect profile for the Premier League because he has swiftness, is a very good dribbler and is able to find spaces for team-mates.

”He is a player who can change the rhythm and provoke problems in defence.”

We all want him to join because the Gunners need his skills probably more than ever, but speaking from the player’s point of view, would it really be better for him to join Arsenal than Spurs? Do you think that next season Arsenal will be able to compete for the title once more after Hazard and perhaps others will join?

RVP Keeps His Eyes On The Prize Despite Tempting Offers

Despite recent rumours Arsenal’s skipper Robin Van Persie is as devoted as ever to bring the Gunners back on a top four spot in the Premiership.

The Dutchman is highly linked with a transfer away from the Emirates Stadium in the summer, but the striker who is still running out of contract with Arsenal doesn’t seem to look into that.

“What better way to set things straight again than to beat Spurs?” the Dutchman said.

“I would rather be playing them now than on any other day, and we know that a win is absolutely vital.

“I don’t think anybody would deny that Spurs have a really good side – and they’ve added consistency this season.

“They are winning the tougher games and, as a result, have made that next step towards the top teams.

“Spurs have invested a lot of money over the past few years, and when you look at the figures it’s reflected in their league position.”

Arsene Wenger’s biggest problem at the moment should be keeping the star striker at the club and that can only happen if the Gunners will be brought to new heights starting next season. This was the worst season yet since Wenger came at the club and things can’t remain this way but can’t change either without new top players brought to the club.

Is Fabregas Trying To Convince Robin To Choose Barca?

Arsenal’s former captain Cesk Fabregas declared that he’s not trying to tempt his former colleague and actual Gunner skipper Robin Van Persie to join Barcelona, but hinted that everything worked out excellent for him and that he’s happy with the move he made.

“I talk to him but not about Barca,” Fabregas told El Mundo Deportivo.

“He is an Arsenal player and he knows what is best for him. I only wish the best of luck for him before he makes whatever decision he will make.”

“Everything that I did to come here and all the help that I received from Barca, from the coach, the president and my team-mates has been worth the effort,” added Fabregas.

We can’t blame Fabregas for leaving for Barcelona the way he did after a lengthy period when the Gunners weren’t winning anything, but we do have to admit that he was a bit malicious when he said that everything worked out smoothly for him after leaving Arsenal. We can all understand that he’s happy in Barcelona but it’s completely unethical to tempt Robin out of the club.

Regardless of Fabregas’ actions one thing is for sure. Wenger must do something quick to win at least one trophy and create a competitive team if he doesn’t want to lose all of his quality players.

Europa League Star Admits Arsenal Talks

Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger seems set to change things at Arsenal after the horrible season the Gunners had and it seems that a top priority for the Frenchman is to bring in a good striker.

Long term club target Matias Suarez seems set to make the move to the Emirates Stadium after admitting that the London club did contact his agent to speak about a possible summer move from his current club Anderlecht.

‘I do not deny that my agent may have had contact with Arsenal. I’m flattered to be linked with this great club,’ Suarez said.

Suarez scored 16 goals in 27 appearances for the Belgium club this season  but despite his good performances the 23-year-old has yet made an impact on his national team squad not managing to snatch his first appearance in the Argentina national squad.

Arsenal are also close on the tail of Koln striker Lukas Podolski and Montpellier forward Olivier Giroud so Wenger has others to choose from. Let’s just hope his choice will be a smart one, and let’s face it, from the three Suarez seems the worst choice as Podolski has much more experience and Giroud is the current French League 1 top scorer.

Who Should Arsene Go For In The Summer?

There have been a lot of rumours linking several players to a move to Arsenal in the summer especially after the horrible season the Gunners seem to be having. Many fans blame the situation on Wenger and some blame it on the outgoings, but all of them agree that the players brought to the club weren’t good enough.

Players like Gotze, Podolski, Giroud, Hazard and M’Vila are only a very small few of those who have been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium in the summer.

Arsenal’s manager is likely to go for a few of them but nobody can really tell who will be brought in. The situation at the club is becoming a bit weary and there’s a clear indicator that changes need to be made, but who do you think it would be best to join?

In my opinion the biggest problem the club faces at the moment is the midfield section where the likes of Rosicky and Ramsey ruin everything for the Frenchman. Sure Ramsey does catch a good match every now and then but otherwise he’s far from being Arsenal quality, so perhaps the best thing for Wenger to do is to transfer Gotze and perhaps M’Vila or Hazard. Any two of these three players would change the club’s face and would revive Arsenal’s brilliant spirit.

Wenger Ready To Bid High For Bundesliga’s Stars

Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger is ready to take the total number of German Gunners from one to three while attempting to boost the club’s skill level with two Bundesliga stars.

According to today’s German newspapers the Frenchman is ready to pay as much as £55 million for the services of Koln’s striker Lukas Podolski and Dortmund’s midfielder Mario Gotze.

Dortmund are ready to let Gotze go as they managed to secure the signing of Marc Reus, another Arsenal target, who’s still playing for Monchengladbach but will be available starting with the first day of the summer transfer window. Reus’ move will make room for Gotze’s departure as the German wonderkid was kept at the club this season despite the huge interest from abroad because Dortmund wanted to make use of his incredible skills in the Champions League.

Wenger’s plan seems to be working out, as the Frenchman is well known for listening to what players have to say. So if anybody is wondering why Arsenal transferred Eisfeld, the reason is that Gotze previously stated that he doesn’t want to leave all of his friends behind in Germany and move, so perhaps Wenger had exactly that in mind when he decided to bring the 19-year-old to the club in January despite his lack of appearances for Dortmund’s senior squad.

Roma to rival Arsenal for top Belgian Transfer Target

Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger should expect even further competition for a player which seems to have caught the eyes of most top European clubs as AS Roma are also interested in the services of Ajax’s versatile defender Jan Vertonghen.

The rumours linking Vertonghen to a move away from the Netherlands started off with Tottenham’s interest in him, but now Arsenal seem the most likely to snatch the young Belgian star who has proven in numerous occasions that he can play in the center of the defense, on the left side or as a defensive midfielder.

Jan is playing as a central defender for Ajax, but he’s often used as a defensive midfielder for the Belgian national squad. Unfortunately Belgium won’t be going to the EURO 2012 championship so it will be tough for Ajax to ask too much for the defensive man. That comes as a great news for Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger who can buy a relatively cheap player who is also highly skilled.

Spending little money for a player who can perform brilliantly on three positions through the defensive mechanism it’s easy to say that Wenger will be trying to do whatever it takes to transfer the Belgian.
