Ozil: I expected a drop in my Arsenal form…..

To be honest I’m not too sure how Arsenal fans are expected to react to the lastest utterings of our 42million man Mesut Ozil. He was brought in as a talisman that gave us the confidence to fight at the top of the League table a few weeks ago, but the Gunners have dropped away in direct relation to Ozil’s drop in form figures. Could there be a definite link there?

I guess the German is used to a winter break from his time in La Liga and the Bundesliga, but surely he knew there was no such thing in the monster that is the Premier League. Anyway, the superstar himself is not bothered by either his drop in form or the critic’s reaction to it.

Steve Bruce realistic about Hull’s chances of beating Arsenal – very small!

Hull City may have got a fantastic result in the 3-1 win over Liverpool at the weekend, but he understands that a visit to the Emirates is a different kettle of fish. The Gunners are clear at the top of the table and have brushed aside everyone on their home turf since the shock opening day defeat to Aston Villa.

Hull’s manager Steve Bruce made it clear that he was not holding much hope of coming away with anything tonight when he said: “We’ve shown when we’ve been to the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Newcastle, Everton and Tottenham that we’ve made a fist of it,”

Wenger: Arsenal are on a good run in the League – Lets carry it on….

Arsene Wenger is trying everything to galvanise his troops ahead of the massive North London derby on Sunday, and as usual he likes to put a positive slant on on any statistics that can show that Arsenal is actually doing well!

For today, he admits that the team has had two disappointing (to put it mildly!) results, but they were both in Cup competitions and if you look at the Gunners’ recent League results you will see that Arsenal are unbeaten in their last three games…..

“We had disappointing results, especially in Milan,” Wenger said.

Agent – Arshavin refuses talks with FC Anzhi and is staying at Arsenal

The little Russian maestro Andrei Arshavin has had a torrid time at Arsenal this season and his terrible form has been highlighted on every Arsenal blog for some time, culminating in the booing at the Man Utd game.

But his agent Phil Smith admitted that the Russian rich-boys Anzhi Makhachkala have made an approach but says that his client is refusing to discuss a move and intends to stay and fight for his place in the Arsenal team.

Arshavin:”I am expecting more from me”

Russian footballer Andrey Arshavin admits that he was not at his best this season, and he promises Arsenal’s fans they will see a spike in his performances. The winger managed to score once for The Gunners in the game against Swansea, but all in all his performances were slightly poor.

Arshavin declared for Arsenal’s official website:

“They should expect more from me, of course,”

“They should expect some more tricks, goals and unbelievable passes.

“To be honest I am still expecting more from me as well. But believe me, I do everything I can do.
