Has Wenger revealed a HUGE mistake in striker pursuit?

Here we all are still waiting for Arsene Wenger to sign another striker, with Arsenal having to rely on either the unpredictable Theo Walcott or the inexperienced Chuba Akpom to lead the line against Liverpool at the weekend. It remains to be seen whether another forward arrives before the transfer window shuts but we have already been linked with a number of quality front men, to no avail.

One of these was the Swedish international star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has since joined the Jose Mourinho era at Manchester United, impressing so far and scoring the winning goal as United beat Leicester City in the Community Shield yesterday.

Which of these TOP transfer targets will win Arsenal the title?

There is a very exciting report out there for Arsenal fans which, if it turns out to be true, could be the turniong point in the club’s fortunes that we have all been waiting for. To be fair to Arsene Wenger he did an incredible job of keeping us in the Champions League on a very tight budget but the Arsenal fans want more than that now.

The boss did give us two FA cups in a row to end the long trophy drought and he has made a few big and effective signings like the transfer of Petr Cech, Alexis Sanchez and Ozil but it still looks like we are short of the big target of winning the Premier League.

Arsenal to soon have ‘new Zlatan’ up front?

You have to admire the self confidence of the young France international striker I suppose, as even though he has just been released by Arsenal to go to Holland and play on loan for Ajax, Yaya Sanogo has compared himself to the former Ajax star Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

To be fair to Sanogo, he is only just 22-years old and has plenty of time to hone his game and start scoring the goals that would make the comparison a little less unlikely. He has the stature for it as well, being just an inch shorter than the Swedish international but he could do with bulking up a bit and getting a few tattoos while he is at it.

Arsenal missed out on Eto’o by a whisker

Back in 2000, Arsenal had just come second in the Premier League, but we were a massive 18 points off Manchester United, so Arsene Wenger went looking for firepower. The Frenchmand had signed Thierry Henry and Dvor Suker the previous summer, and that summer ended up getting Wiltord and Pires among others. It didn’t win us the title, but it cut the deficit to 10 points, but it could have been so different.

Arsenal face striker crisis if Suarez bid fails- Who else could we get?

We face a serious problem at Arsenal if we can’t sign Luis Suarez which is looking like a big possibility at the moment. The problem is that there are no more world class players left for us to sign and no current targets for Arsenal.

I am calling on Arsenal fans reading this to at least try and start rumours to get things rolling in people’s minds. If the Arsenal fans continue the summer believing that a player like Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be joining the club, Mr Wenger will have to take notice and do something because if we end the transfer window with a player like Bobby Zamora leading the line, there will be a lynch mob at every game.

Who can Arsenal turn to if Suarez and Higuain don’t sign?

As any Arsenal fan will understand, you have to be worried about the current problems that the club faces in the transfer window concerning Gonzalo Higuain and Luis Suarez. Liverpool seem to want £55 million according to some newspapers although the more reliable ones report that £40 million should do it.

Real Madrid have slowed down any negotiations for Higuain and to me that deal seems to be off now. It will be a miracle if we see Higuain in England by the time the transfer window closes. We can probably forget about Wayne Rooney as he will follow the money.
