Giroud happy with Arsenal form – but expects further improvement

Oliver Giroud has stated he will be looking to improve on his goal scoring tally in what has arguably been a difficult first season with Arsenal for the Frenchman. Giroud scored a total of 17 goals last term which statistically is better than the likes of Thierry Henry and Dider Drogba’s respective first seasons in English football however I must point out they were much younger than 26 year old Giroud and so they really shouldn’t be compared in any way.

Theo Walcott admits he has been out of form but vows to improve

The Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has been roundly criticised by the Arsenal fans lately for being mostly anonymous as the Gunners lost three League games in a row, and he says he doesn’t need the fans to tell him when the quality of his play drops as he knows it himself.

He said: “I just want to play my game and show people what I can do,”

“I am the best judge of my performance, not anyone else. I wasn’t happy with my last few games but hopefully now I can try to get back to a level I should be at.

Koscielny – Henry can only help Arsenal to improve while he is here

The Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny is amazed at the amount of energy that Thierry Henry uses even in training, and thinks that he runs around “like a 20 year-old”.

Considering that Henry is actually 34 and is said to have lost his speed that is a great compliment, and the French international defender believes that his countryman is getting a buzz from being back in the atmosphere of playing for Arsenal and can only help the whole team improve while he is there on loan.

“He is leading by example, we saw it on Monday night,” Koscielny told Arsenal’s official website.
