Phew! Alexis snubs Madrid for new Arsenal contract

Arsenal fans can start thanking their lucky stars because it looks like our sensational Chilean striker is going to be at the club for years to come. So we can look forward to a lot more magnificent moments from Alexis Sanchez while the rest of the Premier League , especially the defenders, can look forward to a lot more trouble from the Arsenal attack.

When Alexis first joined the Gunners there was an element of fortune about the transfer because our EPL rivals Liverpool really wanted to sign him and it could have been very different as it was their player Luis Suarez that was heading to Barcelona and making Alexis decide to leave.

Thankfully for us the Chile international dug his heels in for his preferred move to Arsenal and he clearly thinks that it was the right choice because he is ready to snub the advances of another club in order to sign a bumper new long term contract to keep him an Arsenal player and the club in question, Real Madrid, is arguably the biggest in the world.

The Mirror is reporting that Alexis and his representatives have already agreed to the new five year deal, apparently worth around £8 million a year. That represents a decent salary increase along with some great bonus deals. How good is this news Arsenal fans?

Arsenal to announce Benzema signing TOMORROW?

This would be a great piece of timing for Arsenal if it happens, quite apart from the fact that completing the transfer of Karim Benzema from Real Madrid would be a fantastic bit of business from the Gunners. If the Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli´s latest update on the saga, reported by Metro, is true then it should give the Arsenal players and fans a huge boost.

The reporter claims that Arsene Wenger has all but sewn up the deal abd that the Gunners have laid on a private jet to bring the striker to London from Spain tomorrow, where he will be put up in a hotel and get his medical done before signing on the dotted line.

And as long as there is no setback, our new signing will then be announced and unveiled at the Emirates Stadium shortly before the Premier League clash with Liverpool gets underway. Imagine the boost to the home ground atmosphere that will produce. How could we lose after that?

If this does happen when the latest Arsenal transfer rumours are suggesting then it will save us Arsenal fans a whole lot of hair being pulled out and nails being bitten over the last few days of the summer transfer window.

And it will give everyone connected with Arsenal Football Club a huge boost, perhaps even more than last year’s capture of Alexis Sanchez and the previous year’s signing of Mesut Ozil did.

According to a couple of well respected football journalists, our transfer bid for the Real Madrid and France striker Karim Benzema is very much on, although Arsene Wenger has still apparently not gone all out with the money on offer.

He could be very close to coming to terms with the player’s club though, as one of the reporters’ tweets reported in the best international dating sites is saying that Wenger could be announcing Benzema as an Arsenal player as soon as this coming Tuesday.

Others want him but Arsenal WILL seal Benzema transfer

This is the first I have heard that Arsenal have a few other clubs trying to beat us to the transfer of the French striker Karim Benzema, although it is hardly a surprise as the 27-year old is one of the best centre forwards available in world football today.

Perhaps the desire to keep the potential availability of the player secret is the main reason for Arsene Wenger being so evasive and non-committal all the way through the summer window, as the Arsenal manager has been stung before in these sort of situations.

Anyway, it does not seem to matter that we have rivals for the Real Madrid striker, as a Metro report reveals that we are still front runners to complete the signing.

The report gets it´s news from a respected Italian journalist who claims that Arsenal have made the best offer to the Spanish club and also that Benzema really wants to come and work under his fellow countryman Wenger. But when will we actually see Benzema in an Arsenal shirt? Or could we still be left empty handed?

Arsenal WILL now PUSH for Benzema transfer

Reading between the lines of what Arsene Wenger has been saying in response to all the Arsenal transfer rumours about Karim Benzema, I think that the Gunners will sign the striker from Real Madrid if we can. But Wenger has been happy to wait until the last few days of the transfer window and see whether the player pushes for the transfer away from his current club.

After losing to West Ham and losing all our momentum and positive vibes into the bargain, however, the need for Wenger to push more is clear. Not only do we need that extra world class player but we need a transfer to give the current players a boost before the season slips away from us once again.

So I think that Wenger will now up the stakes a bit and want to know, one way or the other, if Benzema wants to come to Arsenal. And if not he can focus his transfer attention somewhere else. I really hope I am right about this be4cause I cannot see Arsenal winning the title without at least one major signing. Can you?

YES! Benzema transfer to Arsenal CONFIRMED!!

According to the latest Arsenal transfer rumours, all the noise coming from Arsene Wenger this summer on the subject of his current strike force and the possibility of Arsenal signing from Real Madrid has simply been smoke and mirrors to throw us and the football media off the scent.

Because the France international will be heading to north London and the Premier League before the end of the summer transfer window and Benzema is very happy and excited about the transfer, according to a Metro report. This brilliant deal has been confirmed by the Otalian football journalist Emanuelle Giulianelli, so hopefully this guy knows what he is talking about and is somehow privy to the goings on behind the scenes.

He wrote, “Benzema will join Arsenal. 4 years contract at €9mln/y. #afc #gunners.”

And, “Benzema told to his entourage that he’s excited about Wenger and Gunners. He loves Arsenal fans. #afc”

So if this is true, has the Arsenal boss just completed the signing of the key player that will see the Gunners finally get our hands on the Premier League trophy after an 11 year wait?

Benzema says YES to €50m transfer to Arsenal?

This could be the icing on the pre-season cake for Arsenal fans if Arsene Wenger can get the transfer deal for the Real Madrid and France striker Karim Benzema done and dusted before our first Premier League game of the season against West Ham in less than two weeks.

A lot depends on what the French centre forward meant by his cryptic post on social media today, as reported by Metro, although he did seem to suggest that a new stage in his life and possibly football career was about to begin.

Benzema wrote, “Laissons le passé au passé.. #rip #directionturfu”

That all means, apparently, let´s leave the past behind, Towards the future.”

So you can see why Arsenal fans are getting excited as it the Gunners that have been the club strongly linked with the Frenchman and according to a report in The Telegraph this week, Wenger has already made an offer of around €50 million to Real Madrid for him.

So does all this mean that Arsenal will soon have a new forward leading the charge to Premier League glory and beyond?

Why Arsenal boss is being patient on Benzema transfer

After quite a few Arsenal transfer rumours linking us with a move for the France international striker this summer, The Sun revved up the rumour mill today by reporting that the Gunners were ready with an offer of around £40 million to tempt his current club Real Madrid to sell.

But the Arsenal fans soon had to rein in our hopes of signing this striker, as Arsene Wenger personally denied the rumour in a pre-season press conference reported by Sky Sports. Or did he?

The Arsenal boss had this to say on the subject, “I don’t know where that story has come from. But that’s not happening at the moment.”

Just read those last three words again. Why not just say the rumour was not true? Why not stop at saying it was not happening?

So maybe it is not happening right now but is a definite possibility for the coming weeks and there is reason for us to hope that this is the case because there have been reports in the Spanish media that Rafa Benitez is planning to use Benzema much less than the previous Real Madrid managers, with Ronaldo being handed the ce3ntre forward role.

If this does happen when La Liga kicks off next month, Wenger could then make his move and offer Benzema a way out of Spain and off the bench. So come on Rafa, do us a favour!!

Arsenal serious about signing La Liga goal machine

This transfer to Arsenal could only go through if the current club of Karim Benzema were happy to let the striker leave. But that is what the noises coming from Spain and Real Madrid are saying, according to a Metro report.

Arsenal have done business with the Spanish giants before, when Arsene Wenger smashed the club transfer record to sign the German creative midfielder Mesut Ozil. Madrid were willing to sell then because they were signing Gareth Bale from Tottenham and they needed to make room and maybe that is the same situation this summer.

Benzema has not been in poor form, even though Real Madrid had a disappointing season without a trophy, but the report claims that they might be willing to sell the striker that has scored well over a hundred goals for them for as little as £17.8 million.

And with the Arsenal boss said to be very keen on getting the transfer done, us fans could soon have a huge reason for celebration and optimism. How cool would this be?

Cazorla can SMILE As Casillas set for Arsenal transfer!

The Arsenal midfield maestro Santi Cazorla has spoken up this week about how he would love to see his team mate from the Spain national side come to north London to become a Gunner, but he also said that he thinks that Iker Casillas would prefer to stay with his boyhood club Real Madrid.

But after the Champions League holders only managed a 2-2 draw against Valencia in La Liga at the weekend, Casillas was targeted once again by a section of the Madrid fans. The keeper has suffered this before despite all he has done in over a decade for the club and he reacted angrily to the jeering of the fans.

You can hardly blame him but the Madrid fans are famous for getting on the backs of their own players and it now seems that their captain has had enough and has decided to call it a day, according to a Metro report.

The report also claims that Madrid will allow Casillas to leave and even more importantly, that Arsenal have made con tact and are ready to offer the Spaniard around £100,000 a week to play for us next season. So get ready to smile Santi!
