Former star reveals why he left Arsenal and didn’t come back!

First of all, I can understand why Arsene Wenger passed up the chance to bring Cesc Fabregas back to Arsenal in the summer, even though his performances since joining our Premier League rivals have really been painful to watch, scoring and assisting for Jose Mourinho as his team shot to the top of the Premier League table.

Although we could have really done with the former Gunner in the last few months, at the time Wenger decided not to activate the first choice in Fabregas’ Barcelona contract, Arsenal were stacked with fit and talented central midfielders, including Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla, Tomas Rosicky and the Ox. Who could have predicted all the injury problems we have had?

Should Arsenal offer former star Song a lifeline from Barcelona?

When Alex Song left for Barcelona last season, although many were sad to see him go as well as angered, a lot of people also agreed that we wouldn’t really miss him in this Arsenal team. I must agree and say I don’t think we have missed him as much as I expected to. Simply because we have been the same defensively with and without him, so that proves how much of an effective defensive midfielder he was.

Arsenal pick up momentum in Premier league

If Arsenal keep going like this they will win everything this season! Not long before the season started, Arsenal fans and pundits alike were predicting doom and gloom at the Emirates. Arsene Wenger had apparently lost the plot and the Gunners were going to struggle to make the Europa league. Robin van Persie and Alex Song were irreplaceable and Arsenal was being sold down the river.

Bendtner Confirms Desire to leave Arsenal

Arsenal’s outgoings might not end with Robin Van Persie’s departure to Manchester United and Alex Song’s transfer to Barcelona, as Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner still seems interested in the possibility of leaving the club, saying that it’s the only thing that would make him happy at the moment.

With enormous competition at Arsenal for the striker roles, it’s fair to say that Bendtner has very little chance of playing even a game next season for the Gunners If he doesn’t manage to catch a gravy train out of the Emirates Stadium in this final stretch of this transfer window, then he will be warming the bench again.

Arsenal keen on Blackburn midfielder

Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger has found the perfect moment to make a move for one of the players he has admired for some time, Steven N’Zonzi.

At 23-years-old, N’Zonzi was one of the best defensive midfielders of the season in England, and despite the fact that his side Blackburn Rovers got relegated, he has managed to attract a lot of praise.

The former French youth international joined Blackburn in 2009, and one year later Wenger already tried to transfer him, but the move was blocked. Now that the Rovers are going to have to start from scratch from the second division, N’Zonzi’s departure is only a matter of time and destination.

Arsenal set to give Alex Song massive pay rise

According to the Daily Mail, the Arsenal midfielder Alex Song is set to be offered a new and improved long-term contract in the coming weeks.

The Cameroon midfielder’s current deal is said to be worth around £55,000-a-week, but if sources from the Mail are to be believed, Song could well be in line for a significant pay hike which will see him earn £75,000-a-week, making him one of Arsenal’s highest paid players.

The 24-year-old has been in inspired form this season and has been instrumental in the Gunners’ renaissance which now sees them occupy third spot in the league table, three points clear of the Spuds.

Alex Song: I give Robin the ball – and he scores!

The Arsenal (so-called) defensive midfielder Alex Song seems to spend most of his time nowadays helping out the attack or starting off offensive moves by sending long balls down the wings, or more often, into the path of Robin Van Persie.

He seems to be getting better at it in every game, and he thinks that he and the Dutchman have a very good understanding. Song said: “Everyone knows that Robin can make the difference in every single game he plays. We are happy and lucky to have him in our squad,”

Alex Song – Another Arsenal win and we will be in a good position

The Arsenal midfielder Alex Song is delighted about the way he manages to work with club captain Robin Van Persie and about the fact that he gives an assist every now and then for the Dutchman.

The statement comes after Song managed to offer an incredible assist against Liverpool and Robin scored the winning goal in the final minutes of the match.

“Everyone knows that Robin can make the difference in every single game he plays. We are happy and lucky to have him in our squad,” said Song.

“I work well with him in training and I know how he moves.

Van Persie – Alex Song’s pass was unbelievable

Arsenal’s skipper Robin Van Persie was delighted about the win the Gunners managed against Liverpool and about the fantastic two goals he managed to score, but he admitted that Liverpool deserved more to win than Arsenal did.

“It means a lot, to score at Anfield is big because Anfield is a massive ground,” the Holland striker said. “I’m proud of that, but even more proud of this win. I don’t think we really deserved it to be honest because Liverpool played better.”

“I think we are 10 points ahead of Liverpool now and we can wait to see what Spurs do tomorrow (against Manchester United). It’s a big win, a massive win.”

Is Alex Song Arsenal’s replacement for Fabregas?

Alex Song is commonly known as Arsenal’s defensive midfielder, but true to Arsene Wenger’s form he still wants the Cameroonian to join in with Arsenal’s attack with his new found freedom.

Wenger said: “First of all, if you asked Alex, ‘do you want to attack or defend?’, he would say attack,”

“He is naturally a guy who tends to go forward and he always had good vision.

“He has improved his technique of transmission. When he arrived here, the passing of his longer balls was not the best. But he was worked on that, improved on that and now he can combine vision with technique.
