Arsenal to finally sign Ligue 1 star after Vardy transfer snub

Maybe Arsenal fans will not be feeling so bad today after missing out on the transfer of Jamie Vardy from the Premier League title holders Leicester City. The England striker certainly failed to show his class as Roy Hodgson’s three lions were dumped out of Euro 2016 by the tournament minnows Iceland.

Quite a few people have said that Vardy would not really have suited Arsenal’s possession and dominance bsed style and perhaps they were proved right by England this summer. Whatever the case, Arsenal fans have been anxiously waiting to hear which striker would be coming to boost the firepower of the Gunners and now we do according to The Sun.

Are Wenger and the Arsenal players kidding themselves?

After seeing Arsenal slip up once again this season, with just a point away to West Ham when all three were required and looked in the bag when we were 2-0 up and just minutes away from the halftime break, most Arsenal fans have accepted what we already suspected strongly, that the Gunners would not be crowned EPL champions this season.

But Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal players are defiant and insist that it is not all over yet, although the crowd may be on the pitch. The attitude in the Arsenal dressing room was summed up by our Egypt international star Mohamed Elneny, with post match comments reported by Arsenal.com.

Come on Hammers! Rid Arsenal of Mourinho for good

Maybe the Arsenal fans should not be so keen to see the back of Jose Mourinho, because all his antics seem to have given Arsenal one less challenger for the Premier League title this season, but I would personally love to see him booted out of Stamford Bridge again and I am sure that Arsene Wenger feels the same way.

After being gifted two soft goals by Aston Villa last weekend, Chelsea travel to an in form West Ham and I think a poor performance and result from the Blues could see Roman Abramovich lose patience. Slaven Bilic has already led West Ham to famous wins over Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal ourselves so let´s hope they can add the scalp of Chelsea and Mourinho.

Arsenal get BIG title boost from Alexis and fixture list

Arsenal found out the heavy cost of not being ready from the start of a season. With a long injury list combined with the hangover from the World Cup finals suffered by our Germany internationals, the Gunners were out of the race for the Premier League before we knew what was going on, something that Arsene Wenger and the players have spoken about making sure does not happen again when the new season begins in less than two months.

Arsenal set to play Walcott and kick-start contract talks?

Arsene Wenger has revealed that the contract talks between Arsenal and England star Theo Walcott are not exactly proceeding rapidly. The Frenchman made a cheeky reference to the difference between Walcott´s speed on the pitch and his dithering off it, as the last contract talks seemed to take forever as well.

But as The Mirror have reported, Wenger has declared that the negotiations or lack of them are not the reason why he has not been playing the flying forward much recently. The reason for that, according to the manager, is that Walcott has still been getting back to full fitness after more than a year on the sidelines due to injury.

Arsenal to make this defender FIRST signing of 2015?

Arsenal are set to make an early move in the January transfer window and inflict further pain on poor old Sam Allardyce apparently.

After leaving the West Ham manager stunned and complaining after goals from Cazorla and Welbeck, along with a somewhat controversial decision to disallow an early goal from Alex Song, meant Arsenal left Upton Park with all three points yesterday, Arsene Wenger is now preparing to poach his central defender Winston Reid.

According to a Daily Mail report, Arsenal scouts have been watching the New Zealand international in every game since November and are ready to make a £4 million bid for him early in January.

There’s NO top four pressure on Arsenal says Wenger

Despite Arsenal having struggled with injury problems and form in the first half of the season, a win today in the Premier League away clash with West Ham would see the Gunners move above our opponents into the top four of the table and maybe even go into third place, depending on how Southampton fare against Chelsea.

But Arsene Wenger knows that his team faces a hard game against an in form team that has won six and drawn one of their last seven home games. So he is not putting any pressure on his players. In fact, even though our north London rivals are only behind us in the EPL table on goal difference, the Arsenal boss has claimed that he is not really interested in the way things stand right now.

Debuchy – Arsenal NEED to beat West Ham

There is no doubt that today’s game against West Ham United is a big six-pointer in Arsenal’s quest to regain their rightful place in the Top Four, and the French right-back Martin Debuchy is under no illusions about how close the game could be.

Martin said on Arsenal.com: “It will be difficult at West Ham on Sunday, but we need to win, so we have to be 100 per cent. West Ham have a lot of players of quality and they have had a very good start to the season, so we can expect a very difficult game.

Arsenal handed hefty price tag for top transfer target!

There will be a lot of speculation around Arsenal in the next couple of weeks and possibly well into the January transfer window. After Arsene Wenger admitted that he was still looking to add at least one centre back to his Arsenal squad, many people think the Frenchman already has his top targets in mind.

One of those is reported to be the West Ham and New Zealand international star Winston Reid. Not only has the 26-year old got plenty of international and Premier League experience and is having his best season since joining West Ham back in 2010, his current contract is due to expire in the summer.
