This new striker CAN fire Arsenal to Premier League trophy

Arsene Wenger has been pretty cautious in the summer transfer window so far, adding just Petr Cech to the Arsenal first team. But he has been open about his confidence in the squad already at his disposal, especially if they can stay relatively injury free.

Wenger may just have solved this problem though and he will not have to spend any money to do it, if the young striker Chuba Akpom can keep going as he started in pre-season today.

The boss had given Akpom his backing and started him against a Singapore side today and the 19-year old responded with a brilliant hat-trick. So according to a report in The Mirror, the manager has now told his young striker that he will be in the first team squad this season.

After a few loan spells, Wenger feels the youngster is ready for action with Arsenal and judging by his display in Asia, the prof has got it just right.
