Tottenham Aiming for Arsenal Transfer Target

Arsenal’s arch rivals Tottenham Hotspur are ready to steal one of the club’s transfer targets with manager Harry Redknapp confirming interest in the player.

Marseille forward Loic Remy was one of Wenger’s targets for a long time now and it is thought he has stepped up his interest now that Arsenal will have to do without Gervinho and Chamakh for a while, but Redknapp has other plans for him.

“He is a good player.”

“We could have had him a couple of years ago, to be honest with you.

“He has pushed on. He was a player we looked at and I watched him a couple of times at that stage, but he went to Marseille.

“There is interest there. But that is as far (as it goes). At the moment, there is nothing more than that.”

Arsenal also has other attacking options and probably the most likely one is the German international striker Lukas Podolski. The fans are all hoping that the deal will go through after the German declared earlier this year that he is fond of Arsenal, and Wenger declared that attacking reinforcements are needed at the club.

  1. The usual blah blah blah from ‘arry , they first check to see who Arsenal are looking, then suddenly they’re interested or he says they cudda had player X before. Yada yada yada

  3. wenger is a man of words but not one of action. arsenal has 14 champions league appearance but no win and wenger knocks his chest He does not want to win he only wants to appear

  4. Spuds can have the pair of em. Recent opportunities have come and gone to sign PROVEN players with value, the bonus word.
Another one is presently here to sign Demba Ba and he comes with the bonus factor being he has a lot more playing time on his side.
There is no excuse in not going all out to activate his £10,million buy-out clause, that’s if we want to compete for top honours.

  5. “we could have had him a couple of years ago”
“there’s interest there”. Your point? Sky Sports News wasted 5 minutes on that thought inspiring babble, or do spud fans really fall for thatpile of elephant dung
