Van Persie’s Dutch team-mate wants him to stay at Arsenal
Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger is getting unexpected support from Dutch defender Ron Vlaar, who is pushing Robin Van Persie to stay with the Gunners amidst rumours linking him to a possible move to the Italian champions Juventus.
After just signing with Aston Villa, Vlaar is now vehement in saying that Robin should stay with the Gunners, but admits that he has no certain information which can point to a possible stay.
“I talked to Robin and several other players during the Euros,” said Vlaar.
“Robin told me if I had the chance then to come over, but it was still my decision and I’m very happy Aston Villa came in for me. I’m happy the deal was done.
“I really don’t know where he is going. I haven’t talked to him lately. I just hope he stays in England so I can face him. I’ve trained against him with the national team and he is a great player.
“It would be a big loss if he leaves England.”
Arsene Wenger has named the Dutchman to play in the German training camp, but a contract hasn’t been signed yet between Arsenal and Robin Van Persie, with the Dutchman still delaying the talks.
you should not use such misleading headline just to attract people here… he has nowhere mentioned the name Arsenal in his statement.

well in terms of reading the quotes of Vlaar- he doesn’t reali say v.persie shud stay at Arsenal, but rather he shud stay in England…. Meaning any team in England will do! Thus Your Heading is misleading…. *annoyed*
He was the real driver of the club last year and ofcourse placed at the the heart of the fans.i think his revolution is because of his ambition to see Arsenal ahead of this oil make heroes.be patient guys the future is ours.
i still dont really know what is special about rvp, he is a great player but if he want to leave arsenal let him and no body should beg him to stay
Personally I don`t care where he goes just so long as he goes and we get a decent price. I`ve become as mercenary as he is. In order to enjoy Arsenal I need to have some faith in the players, in van Persie I have none.
