Wenger dreams that RVP will be the next Bergkamp

Robin Van Persie is still one of the few players at Arsenal without a certain future contract, and Wenger is now hopeful that he can convince the player to stay. The Dutch striker still has a contract with the Gunners until the summer of 2013, but with his current form he managed to attract a great deal of interest and Wenger is fearful that he will lose the player

“Van Persie is 28, Fabregas and Nasri left at 24. My dream is that Van Persie stays until the end of his career at this Club. I will do the maximum I can to try to convince him and I hope I will manage to do that.”

“He has some competitors there but he is one of the best of course. It is always difficult to say he is the only one. He is exceptional and he has something that you cannot give to people. “

“Today he finished with a chip on his right foot – and I have never seen a bigger left-footed player than Robin van Persie. He always makes the right decisions in a fraction of a second when there is little time available. That makes him exceptional.”

The French manager managed to pull Arsenal back in form, and now after all the problems The Gunners had at the start of the season he has a chance to keep up the good form and perhaps enter the title race. The best way for Wenger to keep Robin at the team is if he will manage to win a trophy this season and end the draught.
