The Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is starting to do exactly what he said he would do a few months back, and although the transfer window hasn’t basically started yet he’s constantly looking for excellent deals on the market.
Such a possibility has come around for Wenger, who has now taken an interest in one of Real Madrid’s renegade youngsters. 19-year-old Jese Rodriguez will be out of contract at the end of the season and according to Portuguese newspaper Record, the Gunners are willing to offer him a killer deal and get him to the Emirates.
Rodriguez grew frustrated by the lack of first team chances he had at the Bernabeu side, and he will leave the club in the summer on a free. Arsenal will only have to pay compensation fees if they are to agree a deal with Rodriguez who is also wanted by Benfica.
The Portuguese newspaper claims that Benfica are closer to signing him, but if Arsene Wenger will really make an official offer for the winger he’s highly likely to think the offer over given the huge difference between the Portuguese league and the Premiership. Do you think that Rodriguez’s skills would be useful at Arsenal?
