Wenger Interested In Signing Napoli’s Star Striker

Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger seems to be following the trend and after Italian squad Napoli’s forward Ezequiel Lavezzi had an amazing match against Chelsea, the Frenchman now wants to bring him to the Emirates Stadium.

Wenger’s mind is set on refreshing the squad a bit in the summer and now after Arshavin left Chamakh and Park are likely to do the same in the summer, which also means that at least one or two have to come to the club and replace them. Chamberlain is an ascending star and his future at Arsenal is a certain one, but Wenger seems to be also looking for a couple of attacking men he could bring at the club.

One of the most likely players to join is German striker Lukas Podolski, but Italian newspapers say that the Frenchman is still thinking about the transfer of French League 1 striker Olivier Giroud from Montpellier, and he’s also very interested in the services of Lavezzi.

Even though the Gunners might send a bid Lavezzi’s way is unlikely for Napoli to accept it because the Italian club previously stated that they are looking to grow as a club not sell their best assets. The club’s striker Edison Cavani is also on the wish list of many European clubs, but the Italians are unwilling to let him go. Do you think that Lavezzi can end up on the Emirates Stadium?

  1. That’s one signing, out of all the ones that we’re linked with, that i’d love to see. He works hard right up until the final whistle, he has guile, he can score from anywhere, he fights and makes all of his team mates work hard too. He’d be a quality signing…..

  2. I watched him agaist chealsea and i think he’s a good catch.he can score from any position and i also think he can play anywhere from mf. I would choose him over podolski.

  3. I have been watching lavezzi since he was signed by Napoli and he has grown a hell of a lot since then. Has great control and great pace and is able to control the game’s tempo incredibly. Very strong and can obviously finish with the best of them. He is 26 but it would be a quality signing for arsenal and he would fit perfectly in the system…but putting lavezzi on the squad would mean that hopes for hazard are gone because he will cost a pretty penny
