All the signs, if you believe the Arsenal transfer rumours in the media, are pointing towards the Barcelona and Chile front man Alexis Sanchez completing his transfer to Arsenal soon. And although I expect Arsene Wenger to do a fair bit more in the transfer window, I don’t think any of our other transfers will top the value of this one.

According to the latest report from the Daily Star< Liverpool and Barcelona are close to an agreement over the transfer of Luis Sanchez to Spain. Although both clubs were keen to involve the Chilean in the deal, the talented 25-year old has rejected this as he prefers a move to the Gunners. So it is a win-win for Arsenal, as one of our main rivals loses their best player and do not get the replacement they wanted. The report claims that we are now very close to agreeing a £30 million fee with Barcelona to get our man. That would leave Wenger needing to sign a defensive midfielder, with Arturo Vidal looking out of reach, it looks like being Schneiderlin at around £15 million or Khedira at around £25 million. We need two centre backs, a right back, a keeper and another striker, so there is no way that the Frenchman is going to spend really big money on another single signing. Would you be happy with Sanchez as our marquee signing of the summer?

  1. Sanchez is a fine player but I am afraid we will see him going to another club because Arsenal or the Manager himself is a ‘chameleon’ They have NEVER acted so Fast on the market. I am sorry to say this but thats a fact. No club is going to wait until the last day and the last hour to buy a player of Sanchez’ calibre

  2. It would be a opening of different formations and different style of play against disciplined defense lines… And may just maybe a opener for MESUT to start raking in the assist and general team Play….sanchez to arsenal 5 star signing beta than BENZ and BALE+NEYMAR(last season)

  3. Signing Sanchez would be a massive statement of intent and would encourage other players to snub our rivals and sign for us.Please get this deal done before some other team gets him.

  4. Yes I’d be over the moon with this signing so lets hope
Wenger pays the money asap near enough what the players worth and doesn’t hang around trying to get him on the cheap allowing the sharks to get in.

If and that’s if? he pulls this one off Wenger will go up in my opinion. To be honest with the Higuain & Suarez sagas
last year I’m not that confident.

  5. I support Michael, let’s not put up our hope because U knw Wenger isn’t the kind of coach U can trust to purchase at early stage.
