Why striker transfer target will NOT be joining Arsenal
Even though Arsenal were hit this week by yet another delay to the return of our England international striker Danny Welbeck to the match day squad, there is no way of knowing whether or not Arsene Wenger will be using the January transfer window to sign another forward or whether it depends on which players are available next month.
But it does look ever more likely that the Arsenal transfer rumours linking us with the Celta Vigo star Nolito and even claiming that a deal to bring him to the Premier League was close to being completed are way off the mark. The Spanish international has himself said that they are just rumours from the media and as revealed in a report by The Mirror he claimed that it would not be long before he signed a new contract with his current La Liga club.
The striker declared, “They are only rumours. I want to be loud and clear, it is only what I have read in the press and what my friends have told me.
“I think that if Barca really want me they’ll call Celta, and as far as I know they haven’t done so.
“The truth is that I am happy in Vigo and that is why, some minor details pending, I will be renewing with Celta soon. I am only sure that I am doing well here and I have decided to renew.”
