It already feels like Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal board have pulled their fingers out and stopped messing about in the transfer market this summer, and to be honest they really had to after the disappointment of last season and the frustration of the Arsenal fans made clear by the protests about the Frenchman staying in charge.
The Gunners have just broken our transfer record to sign Lacazette and even though he came on a free transfer after running down his contract with Schalke, Sead Kolasinac is a big signing and Arsenal have had to pay him a massive weekly wage to beat other clubs to this highly rated defender.
So maybe we should not be so surprised to hear that Arsenal and Wenger are still trying to land the biggest fish in the transfer river, Kylian Mbappe, with the Daily Star reporting that Arsenal have matched the massive bid of £124 million for the striker lodged with Monaco by PSG.
If that is true then it will surely be enough for the youngster’s French club to sell, but with two bids of the same amount, the final destination of the player will probably be up to him and whether he prefers to come to the Premier League with Arsenal or stay in France with the Parisian giants.

If Wenger truly wants to part with £125m to get Mbappe then it’s highly likely that Alexis would be allowed to leave Arsenal. I can’t imagine that much money spent on a new player while you must renew/improve contracts of Sanchez’s and Ozil. Wenger can’t keep all the three…
arsenal should try and sign nape and let
sanchez to leave is getting too much for him.
Buy Mpabbe and increase Sanchez fee to R75m
