Walcott to play for Arsenal against Hull – and Gnabry back too

With all the injury problems that Arsenal have had to cope with already, just seven games into the Premier League season, it was a boost for anyone interested in the Gunners just to see Theo Walcott and Serge Gnabry back in full training this week. But it now looks as though we could be set for a much bigger boost.

According to a Metro the Arsenal boss is actually preparing to play the flying England forward on Saturday, when Steve Bruce brings his Hull City side to north London. They are sitting just one point and three places behind Arsenal in the EPL table.

And I get the feeling that the Frenchman may have been pulling a fast one and fooling us all with his injury updates on Walcott recently, because there is no way he would be ready to play if he had just returned to proper training after being out of action since January.

The report also claims that Thero is set to feature for the under 21s against Blackburn Rovers on Friday, in order to sharpen him up for the following day. I really hope this is true because it could be just the lift the whole squad needs going into a vital period of the season.

After all the doom and gloom surrounding the club recently and the blow of losing our record signing Mesut Ozil to injury, seeing Walcott back on the pitch would be fantastic. And we need to be up for it on Saturday because another poor result could see us drop into the bottom half of the table, while a win could see us back into the top four.

So let’s hope that we welcome Walcott back and get this party started…
