NO Thanks! Arsenal to snub Real Madrid star’s transfer

Even if the Arsenal transfer rumours that this week suggested that Arsene Wenger had all but secured the transfer of Petr Cech from Chelsea are wide of the mark, I cannot see that the Gunners will be doing with Real Madrid this summer, at least not in the keeper department anyway.

Arsenal have already been linked for their long serving number one Iker Casillas and now a Metro report claims that it could be their Costa Rican international number one Keylor Navas that will be heading to north London in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal add 3rd World Cup keeper to transfer wish list!!

I guess that it is worth the Arsenal manager being at the World Cup finals in Brazil as a TV pundit after all, as long as some of the Arsenal transfer rumours linking us to some of the stars out there turn out to be true that is. One of the latest involves the international team mate of Arsenal’s young Costa Rican striker Joel Campbell.

The Gunners are already said to be looking closely at the Colombia keeper David Ospina and the Mexico number one Guillermo Ochoa, who was eliminated after the habitual cheat Arjen Robben won his side a lat minute penalty. Now, according to a report in The Independent, Keylor Navas has joined them on our list of transfer targets.

Arsenal v Man City will be a real test for Premier League season

Tomorrow Arsenal face Manchester City in our last pre-season friendly of the summer and it will be this game that will more clearly indicate how we will face up against the highest opposition going into the upcoming season.

With the 2013/14 Premier League season fast approaching, these last 2 months have given Arsenal fans a whole host of emotions to deal with. Following our supposed ‘success story’ in May, we all had high hopes for the summer and although pre-season in Asia was highly effective, our transfer business proved not to be. A terrible Emirates Cup didn’t help the matter and this Saturday’s game against Manchester City will be the icing on the disillusion cake if it all goes wrong.
