If the latest Arsenal transfer rumours are true then the Arsenal manager is wasting no time being true to his words. To be perfectly honest I was not convinced when Arsene Wenger insisted that he would be very busy in the transfer market this month but Metro is reporting that the Gunners are closing in a second signing already.

The report claims that even though the German club Borussia Dortmund have slapped a massive transfer fee of £42 million on their star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Wenger and the Arsenal board have already agreed to pay it. And with the Gabon international in the form of his life, with 27 goals in 27 games so far this season, Arsenal fans everywhere should be getting very excited.

A note of caution though, because Aubameyang spoke out a few weeks ago to quash any rumours of him leaving his current club, as a Sky Sports report explains.

The striker said, “I am very happy here. The people here accept me for who I am. Dortmund has become my second home.

“I learnt a lot through the clubs I’ve played for previously [AC Milan, Dijon, Lille, Monaco] both negative and positive. It’s made me a better person.

“Every goal I score feels like the first. It’s a special feeling to play in front of these fans. I don’t know my limits yet. I set personal goals every season, that’s very important to me. I have improved in every year I’ve been at Dortmund.”

It is clear that the 26-year old is happy where he is and is not pushing for a move but could the lure of the Premier League and a chance to win it with Arsenal change his mind?
