Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has long been admired at Arsenal. There were speculations that the versatile midfielder was set to join Arsenal in the summer of 2022, but his deal did not go through since he said no to the transfer. Months later, there were rumors that he had changed his mind about Arsenal and would love to join them. Even with his “approval” for the transfer, the Gunners will have to go back for him for him to seal a move to the Emirates.

Interestingly, Arsenal’s current focus is on signing a Premier League midfielder, with Ilkay Gundogan, Mason Mount, Declan Rice, and Moises Caicedo all being considered. So, could Arsenal return for Savic, who has been extensively linked with a move away from Lazio and likely out of Serie A, with Juventus and Milan unwilling to take him on the cheap deal Lazio is ready to let him go? According to Corrieredello Sport, his representative may be making contact with clubs that have previously expressed interest in his client.

According to the report, his agent would make contact with Arsenal. If I were an Arsenal executive, I’d see Savic as a suitable replacement for Granit Xhaka. He, like the Swiss international, is a leader, experienced, and talented (he had nine goals and eight assists in 35 appearances last season). Anyway, we’ll have to wait and see whether Savic signs or not.
