Arsenal transfer news – Capoue and Belhanda

Arsene Wenger is faced with quite a balancing act as he looks for new players to bring into the Arsenal team. Let’s not worry for now whether the Frenchman will change his ways and start spending money. I assume he is well aware that the Arsenal fans are expecting some big name signings and will not be content with a few unheard of youngsters.

The top players, however, will have other big clubs after them, as we have already seen with Juventus, Higuain and Jovetic. These players will be thinking about big wages and trophies, so might see Arsenal as a risk. The players who want to come to Arsenal may not be the quality that Wernger is looking for, so we need to find a balance.

Belhanda could be Arsenal’s long term replacement for Diaby

It is obvious that Arsene Wenger had planned to build his Arsenal team around the tall frame of the French international Abou Diaby. Unfortunately for Wenger, Diaby and Arsenal, that frame has not been able to bear the weight and it is looking increasingly like it never will.

Even after an extensive list of injuries, Wenger has kept a place open for the 27-year old midfielder. It is probably why Arsenal did not sign a defensive midfielder in the summer or January, but that decision did cause problems for the Gunners and Wenger is going to have to accept the possibility, or probability, that injuury problems are never going to allow Diaby to showcase his undoubted talent on a regular basis.

Arsenal Face Competition For Top Midfield Target

Arsenal are due to face competition in their attempts to sign Montpellier’s attacking midfielder Younes Belhanda, as the new Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has put the Morocco international on top of his wish-list.

Arsene Wenger has been looking high and wide for a top attacking midfielder he can bring to the club, but he hasn’t had much luck until now. Ever since Fabregas and Nasri left the club the French manager has been looking to find top quality replacements for them, and found an amazing player in Mikel Arteta after bringing him from Everton, but Wilshere’s season-long injury didn’t help his cause at all.

A Roundup of all This Weeks Arsenal Transfer Rumours – Who do you want?

The rumours regarding Arsenal’s possible moves for players around Europe are increasing now that everybody is waiting to see which players will be the most interesting at this summer’s European Championship.

The Gunners will be looking to improve their squad further after landing German striker Lukas Podolski, especially given the fact that Arsene Wenger has declared his interest in fighting for the league title next season.

As things look at the moment, Arsenal are very close to signing French striker Olivier Giroud. According to last week’s rumours Arsene Wenger has already sent an offer towards Montpellier.

Liverpool to rival Arsenal for Belhanda

Arsenal target Younes Belhanda’s excellent performances throughout the season for Ligue 1 leaders Montpellier attracted a lot of positive remarks from big clubs, and now it seems that Arsenal will have to deal with competitors in their attempt to land the midfielder.

At 22 years of age, Belhanda was one of the main men at Montpellier as the club is about the win their first title since 1987. This promoted the Moroccan midfielder in Wenger’s transfer shortlist, and the French manager went so far to offer a few remarks regarding the attacking midfielder, expressing his admiration.
