Wenger – Pat Rice is a true Arsenal legend

As it has been expected, Arsene Wenger’s assistant manager Pat Rice (63) will retire at the end of the season after unparralelled srvice to Arsenal spanning over four decades.

He first joined the club as a youth team player in 1964, and after that he made no more than 528 senior appearances during 14 seasons. Later on, Pat spent 4 years at Watford only to come back as youth team coach to his boyhood team.

Next he joined Le Professeur’s backroom staff back at Arsenal, following the Frenchman’s arrival in 1996, and after becoming Wenger’s right hand man, Pat’s hard work and devotion helped the Gunners win 3 Premier League titles and 4 FA Cups.

Thierry Henry – Wenger loves the Arsenal players so much…..

The Arsenal legend Thierry Henry seems to think that manager Arsene Wenger is one of the best managers in the world, and that his skills are enhanced by the way he treats his players and by the fact that he cares about the players.

“He makes you believe in yourself,” Henry told The Independent.

“He will let you be what you want to be. And obviously at times he has to be hard. That’s him, he will make you aware of your abilities and make sure you take care of it and take advantage of it.”
