This is it Gooners! It’s derby day and Arsenal should be in high confidence going into today’s game against the great North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur!

Arsenal may have endured a midweek misery at being knocked out by Bayern Munich in the Champions League but we did manage to hold the holders to a 1-1 draw away from home. Arsenal will be hoping to take things one step further today though by exploiting a Spurs side that have recently been demolished both 4-0 against Chelsea and 3-1 against Benfica in the Europa League. With Arsenal hoping to revitalise their Premier League hopes, a victory at White Hart Lane is almost a must.

Arsenal have not won at the home of Tottenhma Hotspur in the league since 2007 and so it’s no mean feat but with Spurs on a particularly bad run of form (dare I say much worse than Arsenal’s), hopefully the Gunners can take advantage of this and take all three points back to the Emirates.

In terms of injury news of course, Arsenal have a fair few worries. Ozil, Wilshere and Ramsey all remain out whilst Monreal returns therefore I expect the Gunners to line up as follows:

Szczseny
Sagna Mertesacker Koscienly Monreal
Flamini Ox
Cazorla Rosicky Podolski
Giroud

As with all the games its not going to be easy and I’m sure we will see another fantastic London derby today but with Chelsea’s slip up and Manchester City’s win there will be pressure on the league leaders and considering we have two games in hand on Chelsea, a win in both will put us one point behind them. That’s why it’s so important that we win today because not only would it be a great end to the sunny weekend but also it could potentially be the boost onto pushing ourselves back into the title race.
