After watching his Arsenal team struggle once again in front of goal yesterday, needing a slight deflection from Coloccini to edge past a dogged 10 man Newcastle team, Arsene Wenger finally admitted that he could do with a bit more fire power at the club, or at least another option to what he has already.
And I am sure that the Frenchman will not have left things to the very last minute to identify some possible signings, so will probably have a list of transfer targets. There may well be some big names on it as well, such as Gonzalo Higuain and Edinson Cavani, but the manager is not lying when he says it is the availablity of these players, not the cost, that makes signing them difficult and unlikely.
But a report in the Daily Star has revealed another option and this is one that Arsenal should be able to get, the Leicester City and Algeria star Riyad Mahrez. The pacy and talented forward has really taken the Premier League by storm this season and is currently sitting on top of the scoring charts. So should Arsenal go for this surprise transfer target?
