Arsenal Favourites To Sign Two French Stars

Arsenal move into the pole position in the chase for Olivier Giroud’s signature, as German side Bayern Munich are not looking to sign the player according to the club’s president Uli Hoeness. TalkSport claims that Giroud is monitored by a host of top clubs, of which Arsenal is the most likely destination.

“He was impressive when he played for France in the friendly against Germany. But he is a player who is very similar to Mario Gomez and we are looking for a striker to complement his style.”, Hoeness said.

Arsene Wenger’s search for a top main striker continues, and according to newspapers the shortlist the Frenchman has created holds quite a few names. Giroud, Yilmaz and Leandro Damiao are only a few of the strikers who have been linked with a move to Arsenal since the start of the season, and both Yilmaz and Giroud stated their wish to join the English club id a real offer will come in.

Giroud is not the only French player Wenger’s looking to transfer, as it seems that the most important transfer target at the moment for the Frenchman is Rennes’ midfielder Yann M’Vila who is likely to leave the French Ligue 1 this summer.

  1. Podolski sessegnon vertonghen and mvila thats our 50m transfer budget. then its a matter of who can we sell to raise cash for a new target man. i think we may well end up sticking with chamakh or bendtner for one more season. or going for huntelaar as giroud could be too expensive.

  2. Wish bendtner be given a second chance thereby selling that guy that wears his football boot on the head…..yilmaz looks stonger than giroud and also I don’t all that trust strikers 4rm thd french league…sessegnon will be a gud buy 4 us though….GUNNERS till rapture takes place
