Perhaps Arsene Wenger, his back room staff and the Arsenal board have been getting worried about losing some of our best players in the summer after the disappointing way we seem to have blown this season’s fantastic chance of winning the Premier League again. We never seem to be confident winners any more, and rarely feature in those betting tips from online-betting.me.uk any more, so it is obvious that the club need some improvements going into next season.
There have certainly been Arsenal transfer rumours going around the football media suggesting that the likes of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez were not happy with the boss and his lack of transfer spending and the way that has hurt our title challenge.
Whether this is behind the report by The Mirror about Arsenal’s summer plans or not we do not know but I think it is likely. According to the report Wenger’s plans are not just to spend some decent money on some big name transfers but to clear out some of the current squad like Arteta, Rosicky, Flamini, Mertesacker and the Ox.
Apparently this has convinced the club’s top stars not to leave and that the Frenchman is the right manager to win major trophy honours for Arsenal next season. Of course this also means that the Arsenal fans that were hoping for a change at the top will not get their wishes, at least not yet, but if Wenger keeps the best players and makes some top signings would that really be such a bad thing?
