Latest injury woe persuades Arsenal into stunning £15m transfer swoop

This is definitely one Arsenal transfer that no one was expecting. And that probably includes the Arsenal boss himself, as Arsene Wenger seemed to be more than happy with his attacking midfield options. Now however, according to a Daily Star report, the three month injury lay off forced on to Jack Wilshere following the studs up tackle to his ankle from the Manchester United defender Paddy McNair has changed all that.

The report claims that Arsene Wenger is going to react to Wilshere’s injury by making a £15 million transfer swoop on our Premier League rivals Newcastle United. The target is their pacy and dynamic French international star Moussa Sissoko, who only made the transfer to Alan Pardew’s side in the last January transfer window.

Tha Magpies are bound to resist the sale of their star though and he still has around five years left to run on the current contract. That, along with the fact that the Gunners are expecting to have the German international play maker Mesut Ozil back in the new year, makes me think that this rumour is probably just that, a rumour.
