Arsenal’s manager admits that the side which will be on the field against Olympiakos will probably be more driven and thus more dangerous for the Greek side because the youth which will be used by Arsene will want to impress at every chance they get.
“It is true that some of the players [in this squad] do not play many games but they will be even more motivated to show they deserve to play,” said Wenger.
“The game will be more difficult for them than if we had brought the team who played on Saturday. I wanted to bring this team because they gave a hard time to Manchester City last week.“
“I left some players at home because I did not want to put players on the bench when there is training at home but this side will be up for it.”
“I like to give a chance to young players when they deserve it. I like to do it when I can do it. I have shown in the past that I am not scared to do it when they have the quality to turn up. I believe everyone needs the chance to show their quality. When I am able to give that chance I am always happy.”
“I know we have a big responsibility tomorrow,” he said. “I would be deeply disappointed if our winning attitude was not right. I will make sure we walk out there with an immense desire to win the game.”
Chamberlain will be one of the stars on the field today and the youth English international will be looking to score another against the Greek side after he scored once already in the home leg.
