What a superb summer transfer window Edu and Arteta are offering Gooners.

Arsenal is closing on key deals that are supposed to put them in a better position to go for the PL title crown after coming so close but failing to lift in last season.

Kieran Gibbs describes Arsenal’s activities in the market this summer as bullish and indicates the club means business as he told ESPN: “I just love to see the club being so bullish on transfers,” said Gibbs.

“They aren’t messing about and fair play, it’s something that has bothered the fans for a long time seeing other clubs invest far more into their squads and it’s just good to see; it means they mean business.”

The former Gunner doesn’t see the issue with the price tag about Arteta getting his top target, Declan Rice, for £105 million. He insists the move needed to happen as the England international will instantly impact the team.

“Declan is a top, top player, for me. The price is the price. That’s just where we are with the market. I am under no illusion that it’s a really strong signing.

“That’s a marquee signing. It needed to happen. I am really happy he has joined. He is a phenomenal talent. He leaves everything on the pitch. A front-line player and I think he is going to have a great start.”

Havertz has already been signed, and Rice and Timber’s deals will be announced soon. What are your thoughts about Arsenal’s transfer activities so far this summer?
