Arsenal in Bundesliga transfer move to replace Monreal?

If the Arsenal transfer rumours are true and Arsene Wenger really is holding talks with the representatives of the 20-year old full back Abdul Rahman Baba about a possible move to the Premier League this summer, it surely must mean that our Spanish international Nacho Monreal could be heading out of the Emirates.

Monreal has been linked with a transfer back to Spain´s La Liga before and on Saturday Metro reported the latest, with Athletic Bilbao ready to bid for him. The 29-year old had a great season for the Gunners though and Wenger would not be trying to sell him against his will.

So the Metro report about Wenger plotting the transfer of young Baba from the German club Augsburg suggests to me that Monreal wants to leave. This would be a blow but in Kieran Gibbs Arsenal have a very good and ready made replacement. Baba I think would be one for the future but he is very highly rated after impressing in his 31 league games last season.
