Giroud back on bench for Arsenal trip to Swansea?

It may seem a bit harsh on the France international forward, especially after the recent late goal heroics against Bournemouth and Preston North End as well as that stunning scorpion kick goal against Crystal Palace, but I would not be at all surprised to see Olivier Giroud back on the Arsenal bench for the Premier League game today.

We may be up against a side that is only being kept off the bottom of the table by Hull City, but the match against Swansea City is at the Liberty Stadium where the vocal home support can make a big difference and they also have a new manager in Paul Clement which can also change the fortunes of a team, especially in the first few games.

So I do not think it will be as dominant a game for the Gunners as many are expecting. I think they will have a go and that means that the counter attack could be a big weapon for us in the early stages, meaning that having Alexis Sanchez up front would be the better option.

Giroud has also proved his great value as a super sub and if things do not go according to plan from the start then it might be very handy to have a fresh Giroud to come on. Would you start the French striker or leave him on the bench today?
