Man United legend reveals who Arsenal needs to be in the title race next season
Man Utd legend believes Arsenal will fight for the title if they sign these players
Manchester United legend Andy Cole believes that if Arsenal manage to sign either Declan Rice or Moises Caicedo this summer, they would significantly enhance their chances of mounting a Premier League title challenge next season.
Arsenal finished as runners-up in the 2022-23 campaign, and Mikel Arteta is keen to strengthen his squad for another title push and their return to the Champions League.

According to reports, Arsenal is closing in on a £100 million deal for West Ham midfielder Rice, who has been a key player for the Hammers in recent years. Meanwhile, Cole also speaks highly of Brighton’s Caicedo, who he believes is a fantastic player and has the ability to control games.
Cole expressed his opinion, stating, “If Arsenal brought in one of them, then that would definitely improve them enough to challenge next season.” He further compared the price tags of the two players, questioning why Rice should be valued at £100 million when Caicedo is just £80 million.

Ultimately, Cole believes it comes down to Arteta’s judgement on which player would make Arsenal better and bring them closer to winning the Premier League.
The comments from Cole highlight the potential impact that the signings of Rice or Caicedo could have on Arsenal’s title ambitions. As Arteta aims to strengthen his squad, securing the services of a midfield stalwart like Rice or a dynamic talent like Caicedo could provide the necessary boost for Arsenal to challenge for the Premier League crown next season.
