Mikel Arteta has firmly asserted his commitment to Arsenal and dismissed reports linking him with a managerial role at Paris Saint-Germain.

The speculation arose after PSG’s sporting director, Luis Campos, reportedly approached the Spaniard to replace Christophe Galtier. However, Arteta made it clear that he has unfinished business at Arsenal and is happy to continue his work at the Premier League club.

When asked about the PSG offer, Arteta told Spanish news outlet Marca, “I can only say that I am happy at Arsenal. I feel loved, valued by our owners, Stan and Josh, and I have a lot to do here at this club. I am happy and tremendously grateful to be at Arsenal.” His statement reaffirms his commitment to the Gunners and his belief in the project he is building at the club.

Under Arteta’s guidance last season, the London side made significant strides, finishing as runners-up behind Manchester City in the Premier League. They had held the top spot for a considerable part of the campaign but were ultimately hindered by a series of injuries and loss-of-form that affected their title challenge.

Looking ahead, Arsenal are focused on strengthening their squad for the upcoming season. The club is actively pursuing transfers, with a deal for Chelsea’s Kai Havertz already wrapped up, while also closing in on West Ham’s Declan Rice and Ajax’s Jurrien Timber. These potential acquisitions highlight the ambition of Arsenal to bolster their team and compete at the highest level.

Arteta’s commitment to the North London outfit provides stability and reassurance for the club and its supporters. With his sights set on further progress, he aims to lead Arsenal to greater success in the future, building on the positive foundations established in his tenure thus far.

I’m certain the fans of the club want to see Arteta’s face for as long as they can and he continues building the perfect team…..
