Germany star opens door to Arsenal transfer!

This Arsenal transfer rumour has been doing the rounds for some time now, but when it did not happen last summer or in the January transfer window, it seemed to have been all over, but now the Real Madrid and Germany international midfield star Sami Khedira has opened the door once more to a transfer to Arsenal at the end of this season.

As Metro have reported, the World Cup winner has dropped a huge hint that his time at the Santiago Bernabeu may soon be up. And after Madrid were beaten by the Bundesliga club Schalke this week, Khedira did not rule out a move back to his home country, or anywhere else for that matter.

OUCH! Arsenal hit with double DM transfer blow!!

Arsene Wenger and his scouting department at Arsenal may well be tearing up their transfer list and starting a fresh one today. Because two of the players thought to be heading the list of potential defensive midfield signings in the January transfer market look to be out of reach after recent developments.

The Real Madrid and Germany star Sami Khedira has seemingly done a u-turn and claimed, as reported by the Daily Mail, that he and his Spanish club are happy together, suggesting that he has never wanted to leave Real Madrid in the first place.

Arsenal transfer blow as target reveals FEAR of Premier League

Arsenal have been handed a big blow in their transfer hopes for the January window ove the player rumoured to be top of the Gunners’ transfer target list, Sami Khedira, and with reports that Arsene Wenger may have already discussed the personal terms of his transfer from Real Madrid.

Now, according to a report by The Daily Express we may not be able to sign the German international in January, or ever for that matter. The paper claims that the struggles of his international team mate and close friend Mesut Ozil since coming to England have forced Khedira to think again.

Is Schneiderlin transfer the answer to Arsenal’s problems?

It seems to me as though Arsenal are being punished for their failure to push on and make a real concerted effort to sign Morgan Schneiderlin from Southampton during the summer transfer window. The France international has not only pushed on with his personal performances, but he has led Southampton to the sort of results that Arsene Wenger and the Gunners can only dream of at the minute.

And it looks like the Arsenal boss may have realised his mistake, with The Mirror reporting that Wenger is planning to go back for the Southampton star in the January transfer window.

Which of these two DMs will Arsenal sign in January?

Arsene Wenger has suggested that the way for Abou Diaby to resurrect his Arsenal career is to alter his approach to the game slightly, become more disciplined and help the Gunners to fill that difficult defensive midfield gap. But unless the French midfielder has a serious change of luck and his body suddenly becomes able to take regular games, it is not going to be enough for Arsenal.

So when the January transfer window opens, unless Diaby has shown he is able to play week in week out and do the DM job well, Wenger could finally turn to the transfer market to solve the problem and there seem to be two main candidates.

Stats suggest Rabiot IS the right transfer for Arsenal

Arsenal have been linked in transfer rumours with plenty of central midfielders this summer, and in every transfer window that I can recall. They are not always players seen as a typical defensive midfielder, often being more all-rounders like Sami Khedira, which Arsene Wenger’s use of Mikel Arteta in the role suggests is more likely.

The player that seems to be favourite to sign for us at the minute is Adrien Rabiot of PSG. I must admit that I knew very little about the 19-year old, but as some reports in the papers are claiming that the deal is nearly done, I have been doing a bit of research, using the comparison matrix on

What will be Arsenal’s first choice midfield trio?

It is safe to say that Arsenal has the widest and largest array of offensive talents in midfield in the Premier league. Some might even say Arsenal may have the best amongst the world, with only Bayern Munich close to us. Ozil, Ramsey, Wilshere, Cazorla, Rosicky, Arteta and rumours of Khedira or Bender joining, it must be a huge headache for Arsene to decide who should start. Also, it is important to note that all these players are extremely talented and would easily grace the starting lineup of any premier league team. Thus, it is vital to ensure that all these players get enough playing time. Otherwise, they would not be satisfied and may start to look for a move away from Arsenal.

2 BIG reasons to hope Schneiderlin WILL join Arsenal

There is a piece of Arsenal transfer news doing the rounds today which suggests that Arsene Wenger has given up his transfer pursuit of a top quality defensive midfielder, even though it was previously thought that the manager was looking to sign either Sami Khedira, Lars Bender or Morgan Schneiderlin.

The story goes that Wenger is going to rely on what he has already got in Arteta, Flamini and Diaby, while also getting Jack Wilshere to drop back and take on a more disciplined role in the Arsenal team. I don’t really see this happening, because it is the attacking and creative side of the game where Wilshere is best.

Which Defensive Midfielder do Arsenal fans want?

Since Patrick Viera left for Juventus in 2005, Arsenal fans have always wished for someone of his stature to protect our back four. Over the years, Arsenal has been linked with countless defensive midfielders. It was almost as if every single decent defensive midfielder was linked with a move to Arsenal.

That is how pressing the issue was as Arsenal were repeatedly exposed to quick counter attacking opposition. The fact that Arsenal were a team that is usually on the offense just made us more vulnerable to the counter attack.

Are Arsenal ready to ditch Arteta?

For the past three seasons since Mikel Arteta has signed for Arsenal, he is always seen as a leader of the pack. His amazing charisma and outspoken character has led to him being one of the frequent stand in captains for the benched Thomas Vermaelen. Of the field, he is one of the most gentlemanly footballers on the planet. This can be seen from how graciously he takes his rejection from the Spanish national team. On the field, he is one of the most solid midfielders in the premier league. Mikel Arteta, over the years, has consistently finished near the top for pass completion rate. This is an essential part to Arsenal’s game and thus directly leading to the frequent fielding of Arteta in the starting lineup of Arsenal.
