Declan Rice will be the “life and soul” of the Arsenal dressing room

All Arteta and his boys wanted to accomplish last season was win Arsenal’s first league title in 20 years, and then Man City happened.

The Citizens only had to obstruct the Gunners’ road to triumph. However, given Arteta’s summer transfer activity, they may wish they hadn’t. Mikel Arteta has vented his anger from last season in the transfer market. He has persuaded the club to make deals that Gooners could only dream of. Around £200 million has already been spent on newcomers like Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, and Jurrien Timber, with more coming.

The trio inject their own brilliance into Arteta’s team, but Harry Redknapp insists Declan Rice is one player who will immediately hit the ground running and flourish at the Emirates. He said, “He’s a bubbly personality. He’s got a couple in the Arsenal team playing the England team with him. So he’ll adapt very quickly. He will be the life and soul of the dressing room for sure.”

And the PL legend insinuates that Rice may not only hit the ground running, but he could also be the secret ingredient to Arsenal avenging their title loss last season.

“I’m sorry to see him leave West Ham. I was hoping West Ham would keep him for another couple of years at least. But I think he will certainly improve Arsenal’s chances of finishing above Man City next year, which is not easy. Man City will be red-hot favourites again. But Arsenal have made a couple of good signings; I think they’re going to be very strong,” he added.

The only way Arteta and his boys can do justice is by winning the 2023–24 PL title. The transfer window has been kind; now all that is left is for Gooners to see the results.
