Real Madrid are ready to launch a new attack on Arsenal’s star striker Robin Van Persie now that Barcelona’s interest has been snubbed by a club official.
According to rumours, the Spanish giants are ready to offer Arsenal £30million for the Dutch striker who will only have 1 year left with the Gunners in the summer.
Barcelona was tracking Robin as well, but club official Josep Maria Bartomeu declared that the club isn’t looking into the transfer for now.
‘There is nothing going on at the moment,’ he said. ‘There are some rumours, but this is not the right time to talk about Van Persie.
‘We have to focus on our performances on the pitch.’
The Catalans didn’t completely snub the possibility of Robin joining them, but their rivals will try to take advantage of the moment and transfer Robin. Higuain is due to leave in the summer, and many rumours have already appeared linking the Gunners with a possible switch with Benzema who has been scouted by them before he joined Real Madrid.
