Arsenal’s latest addition Olivier Giroud had declared that missing the most important chance at goal in the game against Sunderland won’t be on his mind for too long, because he is certain to become a top scorer for the Gunners.
Giroud’s chance could have won the game for Arsenal, and it caused people to remain sad over the loss of Robin Van Persie.
The fact is that, we have to admit, both Podolski and Giroud played a good game. Their presence in the box, especially Giroud’s, were major for the Gunners and there’s no reason not to believe that the both of them will become top players for the club. ...........Read more

Asenal’s newest transfers, Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud will miss the season start as French manager Arsene Wenger claims that they are not ready for action yet.
The Frenchman declared that they can’t be used in pre-season because they came back to training late, having to take some time off after the Euros, so he will have to ease them in and help them get adapted to the Premiership style.
“Podolski and Giroud may take longer than expected,” Wenger said in the Daily Mail before returning from a pre-season tour in Hong Kong. ...........Read more

The first official confirmation that Arsenal are indeed well on their way to bring Montpellier’s star striker Olivier Giroud to the Emirates Stadium has been confirmed by the French club’s officials.
As we are already used to, Wenger doesn’t shed much light on the plans he has regarding transfers, but this time the fans caught a break as Montpellier’s deputy president Laurent Nicollin said in Midi Libre that the negotiations are moving on smoothly, hinting that the French striker will be seen in London playing in the Premier League starting next summer. ...........Read more

Arsenal’s situation aggravates itself and with only 5 days to go now until the January transfer window will close, the Gunners must still transfer a striker to make sure that they will have a back-up for Robin Van Persie after Henry will leave in February.
With Walcott and Arshavin completely out of form, Wenger doesn’t really have an option other than Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Chamakh and Gervinho are gone for the African Nations Cup and an injury sustained by Robin Van Persie now would be the fatal blow to an already weak Arsenal club.
The Gunners have been linked with the possible transfer of German striker Lukas Podolski earlier this year, but even though he agreed that a move to Arsenal would interest him, Wenger didn’t make a move for him yet.
Almost the same is the situation with France’s top scorer Olivier Giroud. The French international has been highly linked with a move to Arsenal or Newcastle and he stated that he’s interested in moving to the Premiership, but Newcastle’s offers have been snubbed and Arsenal haven’t made a move yet.
The third on the list, and the most recent, is Turkish striker Burak Yilmaz who has been currently linked with a move to Arsenal after he became the top scorer in the Turkish league and leads the rankings with an amazing record of 22 goals in 21 games. Tranzbonspor’s striker publically announced that he would like a move to Arsenal and that he wouldn’t move away from his club to join some other club in the Turkish league. ...........Read more

The current top scorer in France’s League 1, Giroud came into Wenger’s attention with his incredible eye for goal and is expected to go in with an offer in the summer or perhaps even during this month.
“I have always stated that it would be a dream to play in England,” said Giroud. ...........Read more

Montpellier’s owner Louis Nicollin has ruled out the possibility of his most precious player to be joining Newcastle saying that it’s too little of a club for the French striker, but wouldn’t say no to an offer from Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger.
“Newcastle? They are too small for him,” Nicollin told RTL.
“Arsenal? We must see if Arsene Wenger is interested because he has Van Persie.
“€10m? He won’t go for that.
“Given that he still has more than two years left on his contract, he’ll cost a lot more, either €50m (£41.7m) or €60m (£50m).” ...........Read more

Olivier Giroud became one of the most wanted players in Europe after he managed to take his club Montpellier on the first position in France with his extraordinary sense for goal.
