Arsenal to miss Ibrahimovic transfer as Man Utd plan MEGA money offer

Despite the reports that Arsenal is the preferred destination of the Swedish international striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, as long as his current club PSG do not decide to extend his contract at the end of the season, it does not necessarily mean that the brilliant striker will be playing for the Gunners next season.

Ibra has already talked up a move to the English Premier League but Arsenal are not the only club that would like him by any means. One of the others is the Manchester United of Louis van Gaal that is currently fighting to get into the top four and gain a place in the Champions League for next year.

Do Arsenal still have Man United mental block?

From reading what the Arsenal manager has been saying in the build up to the Premier League away match at Manchester United today, I get the distinct impression that we are heading to Old Trafford with a bit of a fear factor. If I am right then Arsenal could be just about the only club that still does.

Wenger told Arsenal Player, “We have some difficult away games, but sometimes the difficulty raises the awareness and the focus [of the team]. That’s what we want.

Arsenal transfer at risk from Man United hijack?

I personally think that only another injury to one of the Arsenal attacking stars will force Arsene Wenger into the market to sign a striker during the current January transfer window. But the Frenchman has surprised us before and even if he is not looking at a new forward this month, he might well already be looking at transfer options for the summer.

One of those is the Marseille and Belgium international striker Michy Batshauyi. The Gunners are said to have been keeping a close eye on the talented 22-year old and Wenger is supposed to be very impressed by him. His goal record of a goal a game for Belgium and almost one every other game in the French Ligue 1 is certainly impressive.

Van Gaal – If you want to be Champions, you must be like Arsenal!

Louis Van Gaal saw his Man United team struggle to a 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace yesterday and drop a little further behind Arsenal and Man City into 4th place in the Premier League

“I am not happy because if you want to be the champions, you have to win these kinds of matches.

“Arsenal beat Swansea, for example. We lost against Swansea, even though we were the better team, but they have beaten them 3-0.”

I don’t know if you noticed Louis, but we also beat YOU LOT 3-0 not very long ago, so yeah, if you want to be Champions you have to not only play like us, you need to BE Arsenal.

Arsenal boss starting Welbeck was INSPIRED choice

It must have been a tough call to make for Arsene Wenger, because the Arsenal and France international striker Olivier Giroud has been in great goal scoring form since he returned from injury. The big Frenchman had also put his poor show against Monaco behind him and scored in the next two games for the Gunners, while Danny Welbeck has not been featuring much and may have been a bit ring rusty.

But Wenger thought that his pace on the counter attack could be crucial playing away in such an important game and the fact it would be Welbeck’s first return to his old stomping ground Old Trafford made his mind up and it paid off big time.

BIG boost for Arsenal as Welbeck fit to face Man United

It is probably just as big a relief for Danny Welbeck as it is for Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal fans, to be fair. Because the slight hamstring strain that the 230year old striker picked up while on international duty could not have come at a worse time for Welbeck, as it looked like it might stop our new centre forward from facing his former club.

It is not as if Welbeck feels any particular resentment towards them, as he is a Manchester lad and clearly has a lot of respect for the club. But it is always a special occasion for any player to face his old club, especially when you have something to prove.

Hummels wants Arsenal transfer in SHOCK snub to Man United

It looks like money is not everything in football, because you would have to assume that Arsenal would not be able to match the crazy wages and transfer fees that Man United have been paying, especially since the Dutch manager Louis van Gaal took over at the club this summer.

That had made it very likely that Arsenal would have to miss out on one of our main transfer targets Mats Hummels, even if the German centre back was to be sold by his Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window. Because despite having about half a dozen central defenders already, it has been heavily rumoured that van Gaal was looking to sign another top class defender in an attempt to stop another season going down the toilet.

Have Arsenal already lined up £10m January signing of Smalling?

I know that a lot of Arsenal fans will not exactly be jumping through hoops over the latest Arsenal transfer rumour linking the club with the Manchester United and England international defender Chris Smalling. But then a lot of Arsenal fans were pretty negative about the transfer deadline day capture of Danny Welbeck as well.

And I think it is fair to say that most people now think that Arsene Wenger did a great bit of business for Arsenal in bringing the England striker to the Emirates, while United fans have been grumbling about it ever since. So if Louis van Gaal wants to offload another talented young player for a bargain price, who are we to stop him.
